Unhappy Another 18x8.5 ? Thread

So, TOMORROW, I'm going to be picking up a new set of rims.

The size is 18x8.5 (as the thread title states), but I don't know which offset I should run (+43 or +47) & tire size along with it (225/40/18 or 235/40/18 or 225/35/18).
Also I'll be running a 1.5"~2.0" drop all around, so thats another factor...

PLEASE HELP, I tried looking at some of the other threads, but it seems as if some people's set-up worked, and others had slight rubbing. Sorry in advance, but I just wanna make sure I won't run into any problems!

I seen HappyJuice running 18x8.5 +38 offset before so I think you should fine. You might need a camber kit though.

^yea, i been talking with 06tsx & hawaiiantsx since i seen them not too long ago, and they said it should be okay.
i went ahead and grabbed the rims couple days back, and just was gonna try and chance it.

(happy ju1ce is running rolled fenders in the rear though) so that makes a diff. but yea i shold be okay as well. since hes running a 45 sidewall, i'm only gonna run a 40.

but yea, i'll be posting pics soon with the result of my new wheel set-up, and the debut of my car. hopefully i can do 808 justice!

Grab youself a set of camber kit (might need one for front too), and run negative camber. However, you might get away w/ it if you drop is not too slam.

There should be no need for a front camber kit. The rear to bring it back to stock specs...but even with the stock specs, the wheels should fit no problem.

yea i have it about 6 threads from the bottom on the basics right now w/ 18x7.5 +48 on 225/40/18,
gonna be just switching the wheel to a 18x8.5 +43, but i doubt its gonna be a problem.
but i did end up getting the SPC rear camber kit, so that should help wth the neg in the rear.
the front looks okay, it looks a little positive right now, but alignment should solve that.
