AME Tracer FS-01

Has anyone considered these? New for 2007.

http://www.ame-wheels.com/wheels.html

I don't know anything about wheels, so I don't even know if they have an application that works for the TSX. 18 x 8, +48 offset maybe?! Haha I'm just making stuff up now. Maybe one of the fine folks on this forum can enlighten me.

Unless you're looking at black or bronze, 18x7.5 5x114.3 +48 is more than sufficient.
You can get away with 18x8 for bronze, but 8.5 for black is probably pushing it too much - at that width, additional weight and tramlining are working against you.

yeah, I'm considering these ones.
I have a CGP 2008 and would go with the hyper silver finish probably.

I was really thinking 19's though, and the 19's for these look like they'd
be a bit too big at 8.5.

could I run a 19 x 8.5 without trouble... or no?
do I have to go down to a 18 x 8?

I would recommend 225/40/18 tires. Some people have gone with 235/40/18. However, I noticed that 225 tires were about 1.5lbs lighter than 235 tires. The weight savings translate to better acceleration.

I prefer 18 X 8 wheels simply because it looks better and wider.

Btw, nice choice on the FS-01. I believe they are made by Enkei in Japan. High quality for sure. I would get them in machined silver, looks clean.

these rims in 19 x 8.5 only go up to 40mm as an offset.

is 40mm too low of an offset to be able to make a 19/8.5 work?

would I have to go with an 18 inch rim if I chose this design?

sorry to threadjack, just didn't think it necessary to start a new one.
