Alignment at Sears?

I found out that my 2005 TSX needs an alignment after I did last tire rotation (inner tire wear). The dealer here charges around $95 for the alignment service whereas I see that Sears Auto has it for $70. Does it matter if I get my alignment done at the dealer or Sears? Is there any difference?

The only difference may be how you feel about any service you get done. If you trust Sears auto, then there's little upside to saving $25.

Sears Auto have been sued so many times that they revamped their Auto Service Department and provide probably one of the best service available.

Each Sears Auto is different just like any other business. I've had alignments done by them, one in a better city then the other; there is a difference in how they treat customers.

i have had a number of services at sears done on my previous cars. and i have to agree with PACman... in maryland they tried to screw me over by charging $100 for a service they didnt do, i fought them and after 20 min, i got them to cancel the charge.

i also had had it done in dallas, and they did a very good job, and very friendly.

like PACman said, it depends on the place... although always check the reviews first

Most Acura/Honda dealers I know do not have a alignment machine on site, it's usually out source to a shop nearby. Sames goes for their "body shop". You may want to confirm with the dealer wheter it's done at their dealership or "out souce".
