Advan Kreuzer Xi?

Does anyone run these, or have any information on them?

According to TireRack, WedsSport SA-70 is officially discontinued and thus, I'm never getting my special order I placed with them.

I've managed to source a great deal on some 18x7.5 +50 Kreuzer Xi's. I'm going to pull the trigger tomorrow morning and get myself on a 10-12 week lead time unless anyone here can give me a convincing reason not to.

For those who don't know, the Kreuzer Xi is the successor to the (unfortunately) discontinued Kreuzer X.

Anyone know what these badboys weigh? I'll ask on the phone tomorrow, but it'd be nice to know. From what I know the 18" Kreuzer X weighed around 18lbs, I'm hoping for more of the same here.

iirc someone has them in gold but with different specs. I wouldnt get the one you are getting just because of the sizing. they will tuck so much and if you are dropped (or plan to be) you will hate yourself more every day for tucking such beautiful wheels if you can get them in ET30-35 then Id be all over them. or 18x8 in ET40-45

Haha, funny that you mentioned these...because I'm getting one of the first sets in the US delivered to me on Wednesday ! I was going to keep them under wraps until I take pics of my car, but I'm excited as hell to get them so I couldn't resist saying something...

I also see that you're in CT (so am I). If you want to see them, I'll be putting them on this weekend.

Congrats on the wheels, man. Where in CT are you? If feasible, I would definitely like to see them in person.

What size/offset did you end up getting?

Thanks. I got them in hyper silver (since my car is ASM) in 18 x 7.5, +45 offset. My tires will be Goodyear F1 GSD3s in 225/40/18.

I live in Greenwich. However, I was rethinking getting them put on this week since the temp is supposed to drop off significantly to 30-40F, and I don't know how I feel about mounting brand new summer tires in semi-cold weather. Am I just being paranoid?

Small world, I'm at work in Greenwich as I type this.

Honestly man I would hold off, this weekend it's going to get cold as you say. I wouldn't run tires like that in this kind of weather. I'm probably going to be running UHP all seasons on my Advans. I don't want to have to take my rims off in September just because of summer rubber.

I'm going to see about getting 18x7.5 or 18x8 with +45 or so offset. Thanks to the poster above in the thread reccomending doing so; I do not want to tuck Advans in the fenders!

UPDATE:
Apparently DAYTA and I work for the same firm in the same building.

In other news I just ordered the Kreuzer X in 18x8 +45. 10-12 weeks can't come soon enough!

Haha, yeah I couldn't believe it myself! We'll definitely coordinate a photoshoot - our building is actually a perfect location for one.

I'm just wondering out loud - do you think DAYTA and Audioserf is one and the same only with a split personality?
Too many coincidences in my book for them not to be.

Hehe, perhaps we're pod people multiplying and slowly taking over the TSX community one set of Advans at a time...
