225/40/18

not sure how much air to put in my tires they're 225/40/18 toyo proxes fz4 and i have 40 psi in the front and 39 in the rear can someone please help me

wow, too much.

depends, people are different.

32 to 34 is what you're looking for though.

my car is 32 all around I think right now.

You're on OEM tires though, MMsTSX, aren't you?

Low-profile tires typically run higher pressure. I'm at 38 all around on my 235/40/18's, per recommendation of my alignment/tire shop guy (they work on race cars frequently so I trust him). A couple months ago my car started feeling kind of sluggish in the corners and I checked my tire pressure to discover I was around 32 psi all around; reinflating to 38 helped considerably with acceleration, braking, and cornering. I have to make sure to keep tabs on the pressure.

OP: Drop your pressure slightly (perhaps 37 all around?) and you should be rollin'...
