18" ASA wheels..Good? bad?
Hey guys I'm new to the site and I have a quick question. Do you think these wheels will look good on the '06 TSX(not sure if the year will make a difference when it comes to wheel/tire size.Im teh newbie). My close friend is selling them to me. Im not sure of the exact sizings and what not but what I do know is that they're 18's. ? ?

ASA isn't a bad brand, my wife has a set, they're korean made wheels licensed by BBS, but at least they're not knockoffs. No problems with her AR1's, finish was very nice and they've held up well. I don't think that set will look good on a TSX however...

Alright. Thanks for the feedback guys, it helps a bunch. I didn't think it would look all that great on the TSX myself. Well I guess I'll wait and seek a better set of kicks . Do you guys happen to have any suggestions on some budget friendly wheels that look nice?

I'm currently living in Rochester,NY. On 29th of July I will be relocating to Honolulu for school. I'll be attending Chaminade. I have some family down there in Aiea so it will be straight.

Actually I'll be getting my 2006 once I get down there, perfect timing too becuase Pflueger is offering that 2.9 36 months/3.9 40 months financing. I recently sold my '95 Toyota 4Runner, I'm using what I got from that and some savings as a down payment. Pays off to save! I would never ship a car/truck from up here to Hawaii, it would cost way too much. Besides, back when I moved from Hawaii to Rochester ( my dad got a job with Kodak so we moved, BIG MISTAKE) my mom shipped her '94 4Runner and it came back with a bunch of dings and scratches, not to mention some sort of weird glue like substance on the paint .
I know this is a TSX forum but I thought I would post a pic of my old 4Runner, hope you guys dont mind.

I've been eyeing those CGP with the parchment interior,it looks pretty sharp. There would be only one other color I would probably go for and its the ABP. I remember a while back seeing a G35 coupe in that Caribbean blue paint with ivory interior, it was so nice...and I'm sure the ABP and Carib. blue are very similar if not the same. That with the factory body kit would look hella nice. BTW, did you see any TSX at Pflueger with the factory kits on'em?

Sweet ride man, I like those wheels. Damn, are you serious...thats a kick in the sack. Tell your uncle to hook me up with a deal!! haha nah I kid, but damn I was aware that Pflueger was the only authorized Acura dealer on the island but I didn't expect that price. Do you consider that an average running price for the TSX?

Ah, I should have looked closer, I can see Macys in the background. I remember I went there back when I visited in '05. Pretty cool place but I would have to say Ala Moana far greater : ) . Are those two places where you guys usually take photoshoots and what not?

Ah, I really wasnt sure when they made an appearance..never really heard much about ASA before, but now thanks to the forums Im familiar with the make.
Yeah Pfllueger being the only dealer on the island is kind of making me re-think, "should I reconsider and wait for a nice used 06 or what" you know..

I've noticed that on the acura site www.acura.com, the starting price for a '06 TSX is something like 27,890. However, when I took a look at Pfluegers site www.acurahawaii.com they state the MSRP of the '06 TSX as 28,505...Is the destination charge calculated in that price?? Another question, is the internet price on vehicles usually less than at the dealership itself?? Soo many questions..

Well, I did some research and I came up with this...
"Dealer Markup Value" Fees in Hawaii
Dealers in Hawaii charge a "DEALER MARKUP VALUE," fee of $1000-$5000 over the selling price. They claim it offsets "high" transporting costs from the US mainland to Hawaii. Our visitors have bought cars in Los Angeles and shipped to Hawaii for $895. If my geography serves me correctly, Japan is closer to Hawaii than the US, so it should be cheaper to send Japanese imports from Japan to Hawaii. I suggest you let them charge no more than $600.
wtf?
