hey all, it was this weekend when we went to the beach and i was as passenger in the 98 lexus ls 400 and our friends drove the acura tsx w/ 4 with his passengers at night while crusing we hit a stoplight, wanted to have some fun we decided to go at it from the stop, green they both floor it, tsx gets about half a car lenght in front but then the lexus just pulls on it and beats it to about 60mph, im not really sure who would win it or the tsx or LS wasnt serious or not, but anyways bad news is, about 30 mins later TSX gets pulled over for speeding WHAT A BUMMER! gets searched, thankfully nothign happen

 

98 LS 400 has 290hp and 300lbs torque from a 32 valve 4.0 liter V08 with vvti. 0-60 in 6.4-6.6 and high 14 second 1/4 mile. And at highway speeds is where it really lives. Nice death.

 

Nice death as in nice kill????? The car has 90 more hp than the TSX and double the torque. Not to mention a TSX w/ 4 passengers! Let's be serious!

 

You can't can't have a Lexus mentioned in a thread without input from sicklex.

Next up...... how the TSX raced a Crown Vic.

 

huh. I was not trying to be funny. I was trying to let the guy see why he lost.

 

He could probably beat 95% of LS400's anyway, since their drivers probably aren't in that "pedal-to-the-metal" mindset :killer:

 

I doubt if you raced him in the closed road or in the drag strip he would have smoked you... I think the LS slowed down since he saw the cop therefore..TSX got busted...Street Racing are for High schoolers... Everytime I got revved to I just rolled up my eyes and let them go...Its a waste of gas...if I wanted a street racer or a real econobox racer, I'd get a SRT DOGDGE NEON or WRX.
