streets of willow sept 23
hey guys, i am going to be driving at streets or willow on sept 23. i wanted to see if any of you were interested in going. i got a group rate, so it will be $100 a driver. heres a link to their site:
http://redlinetrackevents.com/event_sept23.html as soon as i get our special registration page from chris at redline, ill go ahead and post it here. until then, lets start a drivers list: 1. reaxion07 |
Streets of Willow sounds fun and $100 per driver isn't bad.
Sign me up! It'll be the first time I go on track so I'm going to sign up as a beginner. |
It's a Friday event. I wasn't planning on going, but if there are more people going, I might change my mind.

Probably not (if I decide to go). I'll most likely bring the Prelude.
|
Oh, BTW I'm going to SOW this Saturday with Redline also. Unfortunately, the event is full, so I don't know if they will accept any late entry. :dunno:
|
Unfortunately I work fridays... I feel a cold coming on though...
Definate maybe... |

GREAT VIDEOS vwong!!!
Are you planning to go to the track again this September 23rd? :wish: |
Watching that video is inspiring, dare I say. Looks like a hell of a lot of fun! Might want to try getting into auto-crossing. Have to get better with the stick shift first, though. So this is some motivation :)

Looks like I'll be going on the 23rd. I got the ok from my boss to take the day off. So I'll be there in my Prelude again, but I won't bring my race tires this time. Gotta conserve the tires for later events. So see you at the track. Just look for a white Prelude. Most likely I'll be near the garage. |
cool stuff... but i cant get the 23rd off and I'm hosting a party on the 24th.
Anyone going to OCT 2nd SpeedVentures event at Buttonwillow? I'll be there with a friend racing his integra. |

Just a reminder... this is the last week to sign up for those who are interested...
The event is this Friday! Also, if you want to just come and watch the gate fee is $10.00 |
Yeah, I hope to see more TSX's out there.
|
I'll be there, but still deciding if I'm gonna enter for the run. My RSB isnt coming until next week :(

You should still try to sign up and go without the rear sway bar...so that the next time you track your car, you'll be able to tell the difference. |

There's a class?
How much is it? I'll be in the Beginner Class :toocool: |
Well, the class is optional. I don't know the exact price, couple years ago it was $35. Jeremy will be doing the class. He teaches the basic techniques. Then each student will be assigned to an instructor for the ride along. Normally, in your first session, you will be driving your car following the instructor's car in a "lead-and-follow" for several laps. Then you get to practice a little on your own for the rest of that session. In your 2nd session (sometimes your 3rd session depending on how many students are there), the instructor then will drive your car (with you in the passenger seat) for couple of laps to show you the line. Then you and the instructor will swap place. He'll ride in your car and give you driving tips.
If you don't take the class, you can still run in the beginner's group. However you'll have to wait till an instructor is available later in the day to ride with you. The students from the class get priority. |
