I know this is the first gen TSX race section, but since there isnt one for the 2nd gen i thought some of you guys might ahve some thoughts on this as well! I dont know if you guys ahve been following the pirelli challenge series (i think thats what its called now) there are some really nice cars in it! From the beautiful caddys to the crazy cool S60rs...but anyway...does anyone else think it is unfair that the TSX is racing the Camaro and the Mustang....idk...to me that seems a little unfair, unless the TSX has a SC or something....thoughts?

 

It all comes down to power to weight ratios and the rules for the class they're in. I haven't been following that specific series this season but if they're in the same class, they are probably within a percent or two on paper. Just the way it works...

I just kinda stumbled in here for first time and it's awesome how much better this racing and comp forum is compared to the TL one.

 

I talked to Pete Cunningham at Joliet two years ago and their TSXs were making about
300 HP at the crank. They always used to run at or near the front with the Gen 1 cars and
the Gen 2 versions seemed to be even more completely developed. Its all about how the sanctioning body handicaps the various makes - minimum weights, throttle body size, etc.

Ya you can watch all the races online now, they show them on versus to (some mean looking S60rs and CTSV coupes) and they are racing the stangs...and camaros...and they seem to keep up just fine but dont have the straight line speed to pass them at all in the corners its kind of frustrating
