New in-car video from Spring Mountain

Here is a video of my fastest lap of Sunday during the time attack session in Spring Mountain Motorsport Ranch at Pahrump, NV.

***please right click and save as***

My best lap was 2:56.8xx. For comparison, the fastest lap (2:32.xxx) was from a R34 Skyline GTR prepped by XS Engineering, and driven by Tarzan. Yeah, the Japanese drifter/racer.

Also, a video of my spin (my 1st 360 spin in my Prelude ever).

That looks like a terrific course - lots of turns, sweepers, switchbacks - yet some long straights that get your speed up.

You look smooth and quick shifting - and your Prelude sounds nice.

Great video, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the compliment.

The track could've been even better. They decided to seal the old section of the track with tar like material. The track was very slippery on Saturday. There were many spins and offs on Saturday. Those who were on race tires picked up at least 1/4" thick of tar on the tires. When that cooled down, it hardened, and made the next out lap very scary (as seen in my spin video). It got better on Sunday, but still not as good.

On Saturday, we had a Lotus Elise burnt to the ground. All the Lotus Elise owners there speculated that the cause of the fire was due to the tar like material accumulated on the exhaust pipe on the driver side, and eventually melted and caught on fire.

I will pour out a little liquor for the Elise....

Cool Videos though Vwong. That's for sharing!
I'd like to see some more in the TSX when you track it again.

Great vid! I just did two back to back trackdays over there on the 29th and 30th. Great track. I was on the old section I believe with no tar. The only gripe I had was that turn two bump at the apex about 3/4's of the way through the turn. You prolly didn't notice it in the cage, but I was at full lean dragging knees on my CBR600RR.

We ran a different layout but were dipping like 1:50's in the street group. I have some video but don't have the software to upload it.

Sorry to go off-topic, but great video. Brings back some memories from two weeks ago!
