Me(TSX) vs 06 330i
I was driving around town today with my friend who drives a G35 following. When i was stopped at a red a beamer comes up next to me. When it turns green tires screech as he floors it so at this point I say why not and floor it and go after him and when I get close enough I see its a 330i. Another red comes up and we talk and decide to take it to a highway for fun. Let me first say that he had 3 guys in the car while it was just me and also that the 330 was auto and stock. I remember he yalled out "try to catch up," before we went into the highway and when there was a empty strip and no cars on the road, we hit it. We were deadlocked all the way to 135 before we saw oncoming traffic and cut it. He literally did not pull one inch away from me. I was so suprised as I thought I would get walked. He was so suprised at the result that he asked for my mods. I told him nothing but CAI and exhaust which came to him as a suprise

Its funny actually as I never really visited the competition section of this board. I used to be fanatical about it back when i used to be at CRSX. Anyway, your right it seems most of the people who post anything has auto's and racing a focus

This is what made me hesitant to but an E90 330i. As I've said here many times, my TSX was actually a 2nd option behind the E46 330i ZHP 6MT. While it has "less" power on paper, the gearing is more aggressive than it's more expensive, less harsh successor.
I've driven both the E90 and the E46 and while I'm sure the 2006's are no slouch, they just didn't seem as fun to drive as the older versions.
I'm curious how I'd do against an auto 330i E90....

I think the results wouldve definitely been different if it was him alone in the car but came across as a shock to me that even still he couldnt pull away from me. On paper it has 250ish hp and 220+ tq but it must be much heavier. Also, note I had my VSA turned off and i took it extra 200-300 over the redline through all the shifts til 4th
