Have now spent about 10.5 hours on the track at VIR, mostly Full Course. After upgrading the driver's skills, I've gotten my lap time down to a reasonable 2:50 (took a late afternoon group with few enough cars on the track that I could run without anyone in front or behind me). The TSX (with Hondata) pulls really nicely in most situations, and I got up to 110.6 mph on the back straight. I ran out of acceleration steam on the uphill incline towards station 12 though. I tried staying in 4th instead of using 5th, not a lot of change. I'm beginning to think that perhaps this would be where a CT CAI would give the car a little more reach. Still, getting to 110 by the South Paddock entry lane isn't bad for a modest Honda sports sedan.
I used a GTech Pro Fanatic to record some lap times under instruction (and final solo lap), but the current PASS software for it doesn't afford much analysis beyond lap replay, segment times, and G data. Perhaps one of the old hands here could tutor me through some metrics analysis tricks.
Finding a place to legally perform standing start run is a bit trickier, I performed some practice runs on a deserted road in RTP, but didn't gather any numbers worth posting.
In all, I've gotten a few surprised compliments on the TSX with modest mods installed. "Nice pull," "suspension's really working for you," and "you're getting fast -- what is that again?" It's been fun keeping up with more expensive, high performance cars.

Oh, and this guy on the first run Sunday 9/11, caught up with me at turns 1, 2 (you can see me pull away suddenly into 2), 3, 4, 5, 6 about 1 minute into his video:

A lot of 2012 schedules are out yet but NASA will probably be back at Road Atlanta in March.
Whats wrong with December man?! I'm scrambling to get things ready too and I'm still planning on making it.
