Had some fun with an S2000 this morning

Finally -- I got some play in the TSX.

While on my way to work this morning, I saw a black S2000 taking the same offramp. I decided to see if he'll play by taking the same turn faster while behind. He immediately noticed me and punched it as we were lucky to get a green light at the first intersection.

At first, I thought that was the end of the teaser as we ran into some slow traffic ahead. Luckily, we both had to make the same left turn at an upcoming stoplight as I pulled behind. While halfway into the left turn, both of us kept our cars screaming in 1st gear for the upcoming road. We both floored it and he immediately distanced himself a car or so. We both let off after Vtec-ing to 3rd. He made a right turn and that was it for the day.

Although it wasn't much of a 'race', it was sure fun to hear two Honda engines screaming next to each other. The extra 1000 RPM of power combined with the lower weight of the S2000 gave it an unfair advantage.

I thought the S2000 goes all the way up to 9000rpm? so extra 2000rpm differences + mid-engine mount + lower weight + RWD? good NitE~

That was the F20C. The newer F22C only goes up to 8000 rpm.

on/off-ramps...

some people seem to like taking on a challenge immediately before these types of road...

not too difficult to see why. it is enticing to see how fast you can lick that turn and just floor it once you get on the highway...

Yep. It didn't help much when my VSA/DBW kicked in a few times because it "thought" I was driving out of control.

Sorry to break it to who? Did you actually read the first post? He said the S2K pulled on him, which is expected...

I'm just saying that if there was a run it wouldnt have been even close because as he said it was interupted by traffic. I have two friends with S2K and know that it is many many carlegths ahead of the TSX
