Beat by a Titan

There is a horsepower war between all the car makers and Acura has alot of catching up...and you can't argue about gas mileage because all them cars are pulling about the same and now they are all coming with NAVI...ACURA step your game up!!
It's a good thing you aren't in charge of a major automaker.
Trivia question, what is the main factor when designing an automobile?
A. Horsepower
B. Being able to out-accelerate a Titan pickup truck
C. Make it friendly for guys who don't know how to drive stick
D. Overall package to maximize sales
In case you're wondering, automakers don't choose A, B, or C despite your thinking. It all boils down to SELLING CARS. Every automaker has their own strategic advantage. Honda has NEVER played the horsepower war or "stepped up their game" and has been one of the best every year.
Unfortunately, domestic automakers continue to play the power & displacement game you describe. Look at where they are now.

What automakers are you looking at cause last time i checked all the automakes were going up in power and last time i check the sales of Acura were dropping and thats why they are scrambling to find new ways to gain sales by discontinuing some models and developing others.
And these days power and effcient cars are what is selling?
It's all good, i tried to argue (well in the curves i will....) and save face for my TSX.....you'll get tired of minivans beating you too one day......Don't be a sore loser =..(
Just trade up =) or hang in there maybe someone will develop something that ain't overpriced for horsepower for the TSX

Trivia part #2
Why should i buy a new TSX??
a. lowest horsepower in its class
b. high priced and limited amount of aftermarket products
c. Lowest torque in its class
d. So i can argue when everything passes by, that i would have got them in the curves
All of the Above

Looks like someone is pretty insecure.
There is always something faster on the road. Hell, there are $50,000 Camaros that would make a Veyron look slow at the 1/4 mile.
If you want to make statements like that, back them up with facts. September was just shy of a new record month for Acura. Even the "lowest horsepower in its class" TSX was up in sales:

That's classic."Limited" amount of aftermarket products? I think you meant to add 'un' in the beginning of that word.
Go over to K20a.org and tell me how "limited" the k-series platform is. There isn't a 4-banger out there that responds better to tuning and bolt-ons. Try crying to those guys running 13's with just bolt-ons that you can't beat a minivan. Heck, some of those "lowest in class" K24's will even smoke your Titan-killer M45 with just bolt-ons and Kpro.

The truth is, ya lost. It must be interesting around your worksite letting your friend STRAIGHT PWN you like that. Now go soothe your ego with your imaginary m45, and quit acting like a little girl around us. do it at freshalloy.com....go back to your friends and don't blame teh car just because you're a sore loser.
wow, this is quite the thread. I hate how many people complain about their TSX. Unless they were idiots and didn't even test drive their cars before they bought them they really can't complain. If you want a more powerful car...get one. There are plenty of faster cars in the TSX price range.
I think I just gotta say IBTL

Wow! All the guy said was that his co-worker's Titan outran his TSX and, after three years, he decided to buy a faster car. I really like my TSX a lot and probably won't do that anytime soon, but I can't say I won't ever sell it and buy a faster (as opposed to slower) car. Yeah, he bagged on the TSX some, but don't let that get to you.
I find my Acura (modded, granted, but we're just talking bolt-ons here) to be just perfect for me. I enjoy this forum (among other reasons) because I get to hear other people's opinions and ideas. It's all good.
