I can't tell if your R/T (reaction time, I assume) has improved over your previous run.

Regardless, 15.5 secs is pretty good for a NA 4-banging sedan.

079 on the second

it was .624 on the run long time ago.

15.4 sucks.

You definitely need a S/C, and better wheels/tires.

i'm thinking that this coming tiesday to hit route 66 and see what my car can pull with a noob behind the wheel............ but i think that experience counts alot, cause someone ran a 15.4ish stock (i think it was kurt bradley) and a hondataed comptech tsx should break into the 14's...... has anyone officially hit 14's?

A couple people, (including sauceman with a timeslip) have gotten as low as 15.3 bone stock. With all the mods dzuy has he should be able to get into the 14's with the right driver and the right weather. Better tires would help alot too.

I started this thread a while ago and am still waiting

You're making good power, but your 60' is too high. 2.5 is not great. If you could get that down to 2.3 area your time will be down around a 15.1-15.2. If you got a drag radial of some sort I'm pretty sure you would hit 14's. The car is not the problem. Nice mods by the way. And a question was your vsa on or off?

i dont need drag radials.

i bet falken azenis are good enough.

vsa is off.

i know 2.5s is a bad 60 foot. i should be getting 2.2

i blame it on my worn out stock tires.

So this is on the stock tires and no suspension mods? Is it an Auto tranny or 6 speed?

OK that helps. What about junk in the trunk ( Subs/amps and stuff ). Some cooler weather and definitely better tires would help. What kid of racing experience do you have? It's all about the driver too. I had a friend with a turbo galant with plenty of mods. He could not break into the 12's for all he could try. He let our other friend who is an accomplished racer run the car and the first run was a 12.8...

that was my third time drag racing.

i never launch my car on the street..

i know better tires will help. i'm looking for some nice looking, lightweight 17 inch wheels for autocross and drag which i will buy falken azeni st-615

i want a 17 x 8 wheel w/ a 235/45 tire.

235's will definitely help with 60ft times. Try playing around with the launch RPM's too.

If you could do the first 60f around 2.2sec, it´d be very close to 15.0.
Anyway, to break into 14´s we need to lose some weight. Ripping the seats out might help. 15.4 with stock european ACCORD is not a problem. I´ve posted it before but ...here are my times again. I think with Hondata and some good tires I should be able to get at least 15.0xx.

drag racing is so boring. it annoys me that i waited almost 4 hours and only ran 2 times.

compare that to the autocross that i ran 9 times - for about 40 seconds each run.

i'm really annoyed i cant get into the 14's, i might revisit the track once i get better tires.

i still have one more trick up my sleeve. :evil laugh:

Remove the spare tire? Drain all non-vital fluids? Remove the insulating mat under the hood? Atkins?

Take the spare out along with all the tools and drop your front tires to 20. That'll help a bit. Just make sure there's a gas station or air pump nearby to fill them up again when you're done.

Better tires, lower temps, should do the trick. Wait like another month or two til the temps drop, then go to the track and drop it like its hot!

As a former teg owner, I've got to admit that while my teg may have been faster 0-60 and 1/4mile, the TSX is much more pleasant to drive in everyday conditions. With the Integra (including ITR), you absolutely have to kick its ass in every gear with the guy driving next to you hearing every rev.

My teg was fun, but the noise and roughness takes its toll on a 30+ year old.

Dzuy - just curious, how do you do against your friend's ITR on the auto-x? For me, my friends ITR is about dead even with my TSX (w/ intake only) from a roll. We messed around on the freeway a few times and he couldn't pull on me.

Of course, he gets the pleasure of landing vtec during upshifts...

my friend didn't auto x against me.

my autox times stink - but i improved 10 sec from my initial run.

i have temporarily quit - my stock tires on my stock wheels blow - and i want to get some good rubber before i go out there again.

then hit the drag strip as well.

for real racing. and the stock tires do suck, I auto-x'd on them twice and they're were totally worn out after 5000 miles, good riddance.

Did you do a SCCA auto-x, if so, what class did you end up in?
