1/4 mile 14.67sec @ 100.8mph using GTECH

1/4 mile 14.67sec @ 100.8mph using GTECH

i dunno how accurate GTECH is getting 1/4mile
but with these times, i already beat a 2006 330i lol

but i tested their 0-60 once when i had injen cai and lightweight wheels and i got a 7.2 .....

i will test current 0 - 60 later tonight again

if intake, header, lightweight wheels and a few suspension mods can get into the 14's that's just plain awesome. Nice work man

I wouldn't call the G TECH accurate though. I mean it's good for comparing your own number but to use it and compare to someone's who went to the track and got a slip it's completely different.

Sounds like your off to a great start. Practice some more with teh Gtech and then go to the track. You'll then know whether you're Gtech is accurate or not.

Don't wanna be a party pooper but the trap seems gosh awful high. That represents a big jump in HP over stock plus unless you had REAL problems hooking the ET should have been near 14 flat with that sorta trap.

i wanna get me one of these. Id like to smile about my cars performance. just keep it hush hush that it prob isnt ture. Although Motor Trend did a comparison on these and found the G-Tech to be fairly accurate

That looks a little optimistic, but is certainly not impossible. I've tried often to get readings with my GTech, but the wheel hop would completely mess the readings and I wouldn't be able to get an acurate time with it.

I've seen some Gtech videos run at the track. They were off by like a 100th of a second. But then again they could just be the few that were pretty accurate.

and i should be able to beat precyse style's 14.9
im pretty sure my time if i were to go to a drag strip would be lower than 14.9....

but i will hit the drag strip for sure after im done with my custom single exhaust and high flow cat, and password jdm intake gasket.....

If your 60' foot is 2.4 or more..you will not hit 14's..to beat my time you would need to hit atleast a 2.2 60'..from what i have noticed with this car. If i didnt hit that 2.2, i know i wouldn't have hit 14.9.. and If i didn't miss 4th gear i probably could've hit 14.8.. but my tires are completely bald!..lol I really need new tires..i have no tread on my front tires at all!..lol..its crazy. Too many 2nd gear burn outs.. Just go to the tracks and post your time sheets.. Thats the most accurate

get new rims while you're getting new tires, and get light weight rims, dont go for the 19" bling, go for the wider 17"x8". maybe we can hit mid 14's?

Gtech is not at all accurate.. With your mods, I wouldnt doubt the high 14sec 1/4mile but just dont rely on the Gtech. Take it to the tracks because I have seen many many false numbers from Gtech at RSX-S forums to know that it cant be trusted.

you're full of bs lol

look at precise style 14.9, he was running on stock wheels, balding tires, and stock soft suspension.

i know i should be faster than 14.9 but maybe not 14.67
so im hoping im in between, which is fine because im not done yet ^_____^

He posted a timeslip you dipshit.

And don't worry, he won't ban you because I just did. 2 weeks to think about your stupity.

And what did you uncover exactly? Like I said, sauceman proved his time with a scanned slip not to mention countless video's of himself at the track actually winning.

Fawking asshat.

LOLOLOLOL

yeah right.... we all believe that a bone stock TSX can get a 15.2 and really beat a CL and TL type S whereas a modified TSX can't hit mid 14's?

i know i dont spend all my time here making thousands of posts and making acurazine butt friends like you losers but at least i know for sure suauce bullshit's bone stock tsx doesnt go 15.2second quarter mile compare to duzy's heavily modified 15.1

and duzy got dropped on the head too thinking of going faster by buying 19" wheels

I still can't figure out why no one else is going ape sh!t over the trap. That represents a BIG horsey jump over stock, and it doesn't jive with the ET, unless he was lazy out of the hole. In the end I wanna see a slip, and based on his demeanor I will need to see a video before I believe, but maybe I am a jaded.

Everyone wants to be the fastest.. trapping at 100MPH seems really high.. for a fairly stock TSX..reguardless of how he took off from the line.. but you cant argue about the 15.3 stock.. there was a slip to back it up.. i might be going to the track again this Friday.. this will be my last time going this year because my tires are toast right now..changing them pretty soon though..but im gonna try to hit 14.8

man what a hater.

i never claimed running 19's would get me a better time.

in fact, i specified in my thread that i went to the track last minute so i just kept the 19's on, since i roll on the daily.

and even then, i still cut my 1/4 by over .3s and i trapped several mph higher than i did with 17's and stock cat.

what a dummy. try reading next time and stop hating on others. sheesh.

What helps me believe sauceman's times (besides the slip) are all those miles on his engine.

I couldn't figure out what all the fuss was over a 14.8 and 99 something and then I noticed I was in the TSX forum.

And 7.1 0-60.

No great feat for the TL but different animals.

a tl can run a 14.8 at 99 mph?

i've seen cars that trap at 99 mph run a 14.0.

the FF cars that i have seen run a 14.8 have trapped at around 94 - 95 mph

I was just saying, the numbers that seemed unbelievable for a TSX are routine for the TL.

Actually, Car and Driver reports 0-60 in 5.7 and 14.4 sec and 99 MPH for a stock TL.

Some of members that know how to drive better than the old ladies at C&D do even better than that. With a couple of tweaks, they have a chance at <14 and >100.

That's just amazes me for a 4-dr family sport sedan.

PS: Heavier cars tend to have higher trap speeds and lower ETs then lighter cars because of the inertia factor. Once rolling, they pick it up. That's reflected also in the 60' stats. You probably have seen light cars get a 2-3 car lead on a heavier car and then the heavier car is actually about to pass the lighter one but loses. He's going faster but didn't get there quicker which is the only thing that counts.

All Acuras are amazing to me.
