ziptie my exhuast

i have the fujitsubo exhaust, and as others might have noticed with theirs, it tends to hang a tad low.....im sure the OEM kit will help , but would it be possible to ziptie it back up? Would that cause excess pressure?

Thanks

no that's fine. Just get the heavy-duty really thick zip ties and install it in addition to one of the exhaust hangers.

Don't ghetto it man! Just go to Napa auto parts and get different rubber hangers with shorter length for the mid section and mufflers. You will need to source the part from another make and model by looking in the parts book diagrams. It will take some time but they are in there.

No the hangers don't get that hot. The zipties I'm talking about are very very thick and heavy duty. I've had that setup for my 98 accord for over 4 years and it held up just fine. No signs of wear at all. So if by ghetto you mean, completely functional, then yes, it's very ghetto.

JTso that seems a bit advanced for me

Assuming i did all that, would i have to take down the exhaust again? Ill see if i still think it hangs a tad to low after the OEM body kit is installed, i figure that will help.

I tried doing the zip tie thing temporarily on an Eagle Talon and the heat ended up making the zip ties brittle and they ended up breaking over time. If you want a quick fix that won't last long, use the zip ties, but I would stick with an exhaust hanger if you want it to last and it tends to be a little stronger too.

I zip tied my O2 sensor when that goofy little bracket broke. Granted, its not going to get as hot as if it were actually on the exhaust but it hasnt melted in 4 or 5 months.
