Yellow spots on pwp tsx

Hi all! I have a 2004 PWP TSX, when washing the car last week I noticed that the doors have numerous yellow spots on them. The spots aren't overly noticeable but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I tried 2 different tar and goo removers to no avail. Is this rust bleeding through the paint? Any response would be appreciated.

Thanks, Kim

Get some pictures posted. You can also try some simple WD40 if these spots are definitely on the surface. BTW, you MUST wash and wax you car now as these removers have take off the wax in those areas.

Seriously doubt you have rust coming through.

I had the same thing on my upper door part, it was from bird poop. It made a very light yellow stain, about the size of a pea. I had to use buffing compound and some elbow grease to get it off. I then waxed over the area when I was done. The PWP seems to stain easy.

If you are referring to small yellow dots that resemble rust, then use clay bar to scrub them out.

Try claybar first before you do anything else. I was told that when the TSXs are shipped on railcars they can pick metallic particles from rail car brake dust which may inbed in the clear coat and then slowly rust. Claybar should be able to remove them if that is indeed what your dots are. My

I have seen oil based tire dressing 'fling" onto the sides of the car staining the finish. It's only noiticable on a white car.

I used "Goo Gone" and rinsed it with soap & water.
