All I do for the winters is get a good set of winter tires, and make sure you wash her often to keep the salt off..
over all i don't really do anything specifically to prepare the car for the winter... aside from ensuring it has some wax on it.... which protects the car in both summer and winter..

There are many things you can do to prepare for winter driving condition.
1. Change antifreeze if necessary (Honda type 2)
2. Change oil and filter if necessary. You will need to change oil more often during winter driving.
3. Check tire pressure, or change over to winter tires/wheels if necessary
4. Refill windshield washer fluid with winter type if necessary
5. Check serpentine belt. Replace if necessary
6. Check brakes and flush fluid if necessary
7. Check battery condition. If the battery is a few years old, replace it with a better one.
8. Check or replace tranmission fluid if necessary
9. Wash car more often and also spray the under carriage
10. Keep the Acura roadside assistance card in the car just in case

Has anyone ever used tire chains with their TSX?
Occasionally we get hit with an enormous snow storm, though they are few and far between. When 24 inches of snow falls in an area with an official annual average of 8 inches, you can imagine that not all neighborhoods or non-major roads get plowed immediately.
In years past I've used chains on such roads (especially the hilly ones), and that has been all that I've needed.
