winshield creak fixed

I have had my TSX now for 28XXX miles and have the dreaded windshield creak since 500 miles and my Acura dealer has not been able to fix. I did some investigative work this past weekend and this is what I found to be the solution.

Open your hood and notice where the windshield trim sweeps down into the engine compartment. Midway between driver side & passenger side just above the strut bar the two trim pieces meet and have a plastic button-like connector. Mine was not completely pushed all the way down and caused the trim to flex. It has been four days now without a sound and the weather has ranged from low 40's to low 60's. Anyway, this was my fix. I had also put some foam between the plastic trim pieces and the strut towers to keep the plastic from rubbing. Good luck with your fix.

My 04 MT with Navi has been in the shop for a week now, waiting for a new windshield. I reported the same "rattle" noise.

4K Miles.

Why is it hanging out in the shop? I was told the new windshield / molding was coming out soon.
