Windshield wipers

Hi all.

I have a 2005 TSX.

The wipers are grinding against the windshield, causing an annoying *bup bup bup* sound and causing them to skip. How do I adjust the wipers so they don't do that? It's not time to change them already, is it?

Also, then the wipers change directions, there's a significant *bup* sound as well. Is that normal?

UH ... ... whne were the blades last replaced? Some say you should change them every 6ix months. I do it yearly or less, but keep the windshield very clean.

My local Acura dealer sells both factory replacement blades for about $12. They're useless after about 6-9 months, but they're cheap, so no big deal.

You're supposed to replace it at least once a year. You need to replace it after summer (before the rain season) since the sun attacks rubber.

I have an 06, so the wiper blade has a more stealthy profile. That's why I stick with OEM. They're not expensive, so I don't mind swapping it from time to time.

It's because of the shape of our windshield...it's hard to apply even force throughout the swipe. I heard some dealers will do some sort of bend to the wiper arm to create more pressure on the windshield...
