Windshield washers frozen?
Windshield washers frozen?
Today I drove and parked my TSX outside when the temps were 2F with a windchill of -35F. I wanted to clean my front windshield, but the windshield washer, but I heard the motor, but there was no spraying mist coming out.
When I got home, I saw that the spray nozzles were wet, but it didn't appear frozen. I checked my windshield fluid and it was still full.
Do you think it's just that it was frozen due to the extreme temps or has anyone else had this problem?

That's weird, I thought windshield washer fluid was supposed to be good for down to, from anywhere between -40C and -50C, which is about -40F and -58F, depending on which brand you're getting. (I recommend the Rain-X one that goes down to -40C/-40F, it's good stuff
) so unless the air temperature outside is getting that cold, shouldn't it technically NOT freeze?

It froze up again this morning. It was about 11F with a wind chill of -2F. Boy I need to get the winter windshield fluid. I got an oil change and probably Acura put the blue fluid instead of the winter one.
