Weird noise when turning (sometimes) @ slow speeds
When i turn the wheel sometimes it makes a noise "errrrr" sound i assume its the power steering? Not sure what the noise is. I took it to my mecahnic (and ofcourse it didnt happen while he was test driving it), he told me that theres nothing to do other then wait for something to break or the noise to get alot worse. Should i take it to acura? im affraid they will say they dont hear though. Anyone else have this?

Air
Look for low fluid, or air bubbles in the fluid reservoir. This would look like little foaming bubbles when you pull the cap off the power steering reservoir. Then look for leaking fluid around the pump, hoses, fittings or the 'rack'. It could be leaking below one of the bellows (looks like a CV boot) on either side of the rack. Air is what makes that noise. At low speeds, the wheel is turned further, making the system work more.

I had the same problem, took it in an got the recall notice on the power steering hose same day. The hose was faulty and spraying fluid on the engine. I got lucky I didn't have a fire.

I'm getting the same problem on my 2007 TSX but sometimes I'm not even turning and I hear that sound only when I'm shifting to 2nd gear. I took it to my Acura dealership and asked the guy if their was a factory recall and he tells me there isnt. I'm going back there tomorrow and bringing hell with me

Mine sounds like its coming from the front.
...is this covered under power train warranty?
I hear the noise but its only every couple of days so pointing it out to the dealer could be hard.
I just had my axles replaced under warranty and i mentioned the noise and I was told this most likely is related to the axles but even after the repairs i still hear the noise.
Thoughts?
Thanks.
