The first time It came on I was going the same direction to work and when i got there I turned off the car and turned it back on and it went away and have not seen it since till today. Any ideas what is going on? Thanks for any help anyone can provide

Pretty normal for the VSA light to come on if you're in a situation where you may be losing traction. Were you taking curve/turn with a bit of a heavy foot? Slammed on the accel. from a standstill? Pushed the accel a good amount in a puddle? Take a look at the manual that comes with the car and read about VSA.

Have you changed your battery.. or has your battery gone flat lately?

Apparently you need to have the VSA reset by your honda Dealer if you have had one of the above occur.. it also interferes with steering if you dont get it reset..

check out my last post on the "TSX Steering Problem" thread...

The light came on and stayed on. I got a "Check VSA System" on the MFD as well. I have not changed my battery since I put in a new one more than 9 months ago. it was an interstate battery .

Do you have a link for this?

Should I go to the Acura dealer? The car is under warranty till 100K so I am not worried about taking it is its just not the most convenient thing

It happened again to me today. it seems that its only when I am going to work. I do work near an airport where there is alot of electronic equipment. I am wondering if the VSA is suceptable to electronic interference? I think I will take it to the dealer thank for your help

I think your car is susceptible to a "maybe it'll go away" mentality on the part its driver. Take it to a dealer NOW. If it's a good dealership (you're not in NY/NJ, so I think you're safe),* they'll provide a loaner so you can go to work. This is what you buy an Acura for (partly); the service is usually superior.

I say this as a former avionics tech who can assure you that driving by an air field will not subject your car to VOR or TACAN interference that will effect your car's 'tronics. With the storms coming through the state recently, you want your VSA operational.

*I only say that because of all the anecdotal complaints I hear from our NE members.
_______________

Addendum: Oh, BTW, I seem to recall from the manual (which I can't review at the moment; workstation down for maintenance) that VSA "adjusts" itself the first time you accelerate after starting up. That would explain why the light goes out when you turn off and restart your car. YMMV.
