Exclamation Violent shaking at 50mph + during accel/cruise

I dunno wtf is going on. We just had 2 really bad snow storms here in the northeast. Went through the first storm with no issue, snow was over by sunday, drove home from work Tuesday night (before 2nd storm) without an issue.

Tues night and Weds it snowed a lot. I worked from home Weds & Thurs and my car has been sitting in the parking lot since Tuesday night. Just took it out (Thursday night) to go about 15mi up the highway and i got really bad shaking after 50MPH.

The whole car is vibrating from what i can tell, not just one part, it went through my seat and would chatter my teeth if i kept em together.

This is NOT the shuddering while braking issue, I took care of that with new pads/rotors in Sept 09. I just got new tires put on (Michelen MX04's or something) in November. The tires are 3 months old, i really don't know what the hell is wrong but im' really worried.

I don't know what could have went wrong between my car sitting in a parking lot, getting dumped on with snow, i cleared it off, and started driving and now have this problem.

any ideas??

is probably snow caked on the wheels. or it got hit while parked. get a car wash that sprays the underside and get out on the highway

No joke, this exact same thing happened to me this past week. Here in Wisconsin we got about 12 inches of snow on Tues. and then on Wednesday I noticed this same thing. Although mine seemed to occur > 40 mph. It has gotten better now to the point where it is almost gone, but there still seems to be something a little different. When this first happened, it almost felt like when you have flat spots on your tires and you start driving. The weird thing is, before I noticed this on Wed. I made sure to clear my wheel wells of snow and ice, so I'm not quite sure what caused this. I'm going to wait and see, but I gotta believe its snow/ice related.

yea this is a false alarm on my part. i talked to my dad on the phone and he said the same thing. i drove it home last night after i made this thread, and it wasn't as bad.

just drove it to work today and i hit 80mph and it was pretty smooth, no where near as bad as it was last night. i have it sitting in the lot at work with the sun on it, instead of the garage to hopefully melt off anything left over.

was pretty scary last night and was not looking forward to spending more money on this car. from what i was reading it could have been axles, ball joints, bent rims, etc..
