Vibrating low rpm between 1500-2000
Vibrating low rpm between 1500-2000
Hi, I recently purchased a used Acura TSX 2004 2.4L Automatic 122.000 miles on it and I have a problem with it.
There is a big vibration in the car while driving it automatic mode (not in the manuel tiptronic mode) and when it works in low RPM levels around 1500-2000. I'm not sure if the transmission mounts are causing this vibration problem.
The other thing is that the transmission has a 2 seconds delay when shifting to reverse from parking and or shifting to drive from parking. When I shift to reverse, I have to wait 2 seconds until it kicks it into gear and its jumpy.
Could the problem result from a bad transmission solanoid valve, or could the problem be because of transmission mounts? I hope this is not a mechanical transmission problem.

If the vibration is primarily noticed when accelerating fairly hard, the CV axles may be the problem. Others have had this problem, so search will find the threads w/ info.
A delay can be normal for some trans. I have a 94 Accord that does this a bit, but has not affected the shift quality. It has 250K miles
It's aggravating but manageable.
good luck

thank you for your reply, but there is no problem with CV axles. i am still searching what can i do...
I want to add some more information.
I live in Turkey, so the car brand is here "Honda Accord". After hard work i realized that my car is Acura TSX in the north us and in the other countries (except australia and europe).
I meet with a repairman about transmission. he said that transmission should have complete diagnose. and its costs about 2000$ US. (here is very expensive everything, and i know that he i no sincere). thats why i am seaching opporunities about the transmission.
my common question is i have this problem only in automatic mode. after we tested "solenoid assy, linear B" with computer , it seems working properly. (solenoid assy price is here about 800 $ US). I want to know that can solenoid assy be broken without any signals like engine fault light??? I mean can seem working "ok" in the computer based test, even if it is not working.. If not i have to pay 2000 dollars to complete repairing of my transmission...
I want you to share your precisious comments.
Thanks.
