Tuning XM Channels from Steering Wheel (TSX)

Hello --

I recently bought an 06 TSX and I love it. When controlling XM Radio from the steering wheel, pressing channel either up or down only cycles through my preset stations. How do I tune channels from the steering wheel? The only way I am able to is by turning the Tune knob. Anyone have any ideas?

The channel button on the steering wheel is only for preset stations on any radio band. Otherwise use the voice command to change channels.

So basically, other than the voice commands, using the tuning knob is the only way to tune?

Is there any way around this?

Thanks for the response.

You can't reprogram the steering wheel buttons...if that's what you're asking. I never use the knob though...I think there are buttons that you can press in the center console. (I don't remember ever using the knob, so there must have been a button that let me select the stations...either that, or I'm so used to voice commands.)

No, the only way to tune stations not in memory is with the tuning knob, or use voice commands. I never think of this as a big deal really, the stations I want to listen to are in my presets. I only have to reach over for the tuning knob if i'm traveling or get the urge to change genres completly on XM.

Voice commands are part of the navi system.
No navi means no voice commands.
With no navi, the only way to change channels is with the radio tuning knob, preset buttons, scan up/down or steering wheel channel change buttons (which take you through the presets).
