tsx long miles weekend, problem!?!

i had to take an emergency trip to florida in orlando
was about 1300 miles from nyc if you put in the stops etc..
then another 1300 miles back within 12 hrs later.

car had 2800 miles before i went
i brought it to acura manhattan to give it a oil change the day before.. (knowing i had to get going)

so now im back i have 5,000 on the car.
should i get another oil change already? or do anything else to it. it seems okay but i never really drove a car that far so soon and then back so soon.

the sticker says by feb/22nd or 6250 miles service for another oil change..

also note when i drove there i was on cruise control average 70mph the whole way, 2,600rpms.

one last comment.. the check side airbag light came on 3 times
during the drive on the way back.

First, welcome to orlando! Hope it was a nice break from the cold. (then again, that's a hell of a lot of driving.. round trip to GA was enough for me)

I have 6000+mi and I haven't taken it for an oil change yet. (after some long trips) Dealer sticker said 3500, but the book says 10k. I'm going to aim for 8. You could ask them, but they probably want more $$ for service. Wait until 8 or so.

Air bag light: Did you have anyone or anything heavy in the passenger's seat? If the weight in the passenger seat is too far to the right (ie: someone leaning on the door), then the airbag will disable itself so it wont deploy directly into someone leaning on the door. If you didn't have anything in the seat, then have it checked out.

Constant RPM: You should be fine since the car already had 2800mi beforehand.

According to your dealer its 8, but not Honda/Acura. If you go on the Acura maintence schedule its either 5K("severe" conditions) or 10K (normal conditions).

I'm at 5.5K and my tsx goes in tomorrow for it's first servicing.

8k isn't necessarily a bad figure, but as mentioned, Honda has given their official guideline of 5-10k depending on your driving conditions. Don't feel its set in stone.

ha?
