If you are refering to what is typically called a "clear bra", then yes, I've got in on my TSX. It works fine for protecting from rock chips etc (bug guts stick to it, but then bug guts sticks to teflon
, although I feel it detracts a little from the very clean/sharp look of the front end. Even though the bra is clear, you can tell it is on the car from anything closer than 30 feet. BTW, I don't know if I'd risk doing this on my own, a professional will do a much better job. Wish that the fake chrome grill on my TSX had some on it, the chips on it are REALLY starting to annoy me....

I think this may depend on the color of the car. Contrary to intuition, I've read that clear bras are more visible on white cars.
Here are some pictures of dabuda2004's CG TSX with a clearbra:

Depending on the angle, I bet you can't see it from 5 feet away, let alone 30.

i have one and i love it. had one on my black Audi S4 also. i think on black cars it is necessary especially in areas that get snow and have trucks driving around spewing sand on the streets.

What "brand" did you get? Are they all the same?
Thanks for response.

I have the 3M material over the leading edge of the hood fenders and the mirrors. So far so good, it's barely visible but I do have several paint chips on areas not covered by the material. BTW, the folks who installed it for me are a top-notch Porsche race shop and they had to re-do 1/2 the pieces. And Porsches come from the Zuffenhausen factory with this 3M stuff on places like the fender flares, so it's not for a lack of experience. They had a white Porsche full-race car in the shop and you could see they had trouble with the 3M material on that, too. Seems it's a @#$% to apply the material to a white car.
Have an '88 Merc with 180k on the clock and it has zero (0) paint chips on the front end. But the front end of my '98 Volvo looks like it's been hit by a shotgun. The problem is the new "environmentally frendly" paints that are relatively brittle and owner-unfriendly. I'd say screw the snail darters and use real paint again, this is getting silly.

For all the people who have the clearbra. About how much did it cost? I was quoted about $850 or so for the full kit, but I feel that is high. This price includes a 15% discount. How much should I pay for this? Thanks.
