when i shift from drive to reverse there's this weird sound.. is this normal? i only had my car for 2 weeks..i'm just very curious

 

like a clunk noise? pretty normal.

 

Yea it's normal. I have it too on my 2006. It's just the gears switching from and to Drive.

 

put it in neutral and listen for knocking at idle... if it knocks its prolly your tranny i just had mine replaced under warranty on my 05... it was messed up...

 

I have this issue also - '07 5AT...I notice a loud "thump" when I shift from park to drive...more noise than I think it should make. Doesn't happen every time though. 2,400 miles so I'll just see if it goes away on its own
