SO I went to pass a car the other day and when I hit the gas the car downshifted no problem and I passed without incident... until the transmission would not shift back up out of 2nd gear [ AT] Anyone had this happen? I drove like this for about a mile until I pulled off the road and stopped. When I started again, it worked fine... too bad I had to pass the same car again. Oh yeah, I tried putting it over to the manual mode and shifting that way, but no dice there either.

 

^^ i recently had an issue similar to this happen to me twice now, i was in sport-shift mode and all of a sudden i was not able to up/down shift and when i look at the gauges, the number that corresponds to what gear you are in disappears, but the M is still lit up to show you that you are in sport-shift mode....i had to stop and start the car to fix the issue...

maybe our cars are running windows

forgot to add that my car has a little over 106,000 miles on it...

Sounds like a safety default. I've not read anything about it though in the manual.

I only have 24K miles on it. I figured I would bring it up when I take in my car for an oil change next weekend. Perhaps it could have something to do with the 10 inches of snow we had...
