Since upgrading my 2004's navi DVD to version 3.40C, the voice feedback seems to take a few minutes to "wake up." If I start up the car, and get to the map screen, then immediately press the talk button on the steering wheel, the navi doesn't talk back right away. The system responds (for instance by planning a route), but the voice isn't there. If I hit the button a few times, she seems to wake up. If I wait a few minutes to use the navi, she responds right away. It's like something has to warm up or charge or something.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm afraid if I try to get this resolved by tech support, I'll get caught between the DVD people and the car people, and never get out!

Can you try to re-upgrade? Im taking a guess here.

I thought of that, and went so far as to disconnect my battery and completely reboot the system, entering the codes and all as well as reloading the DVD. No difference.

I am having the same issues, but just lately..I have ver 1.009.
Never happened before just started..hit the ok on the screen..then nothing..just a blank.
Hit map button...nothing.

I go to the audio mode by hitting the button ..screen comes up, then I hit the map button..i then get the map screen..
It happen twice this month...I may call the dealer..it never did it before...
This type of behavior happen to anyone else??
