Touch Screen Not Working

I was in an accident 3 months ago, and I just got my car back today. 3 months, yeah, I know, a longgggg time!!!! But any way, I also have an aftermarket system hooked up to my car and it is spliced into my factory radio through RCA's or whatever. The question is that my screen on my factory NAV unit is not even allowing me to enter the code to unlock my screen. The numbers on the screen do not work and also the done and delete buttons do not work. After about 30 seconds or so the screen goes blank and the buttons underneath when pressed do not bring back the number screen, it just stays turned off. My car was hit on my passenger side door and I was spun into a parked car in the front. I am unsure if at the time of my accident if my screen was working or not. Does anybody have any suggestions because I am worried about going to a dealer to have it looked even though my body shop says he will have the insurance pay for it if it is not covered. I do not want to lay the money out and then my insurance doesn't pay it for whatever reason. I don't exactly believe my body shop when he tells me he will get the bill paid because 3 months ago he also did say that I would have my car in 3 weeks, and then it was just problem after problem as they were fixing the car. It started out appraised with 12,000 dollars damage, and then by the time they were done fixing it, it had 18.000 dollar damage including a bent K Frame. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

maybe you should trade it in cuz it seems like a pretty bad accident. Trade it in b4 it gets worst in the future.

This would be time to take it to someone and have it covered by insurance due to the inital accident. If you wait too long, insurance won't cover it anymore.
