for those with led tail bulbs

To anyone with led tail bulbs from superbrightleds or autolumination...

I just got my radio replaced under warranty because the lights went out but brought it back because I noticed that whenever I stepped on the brakes with the car lights off....the center console would light up. They just got back to me and said they found the problem and it was the led bulbs I had. Strange thing is, I had these bulbs in before they changed the radio and I didn't even notice. Maybe it was just timing.
The bulbs I had were the 32 leds matrix bulb from autolumination.com...

So my question is, for those with led bulbs, have you noticed the same thing? Doesn't matter if you have the same bulb or not. Even though the radio was covered under warranty, they are charging for diagnostic labor the the problem. Not too long ago I was raving how good my service experience was.

Thanks in advance for anybody who can let me know if they have the same problem.

Hey, this is an interesting coincidence. Just tonight, I noticed that with either my parking or headlights on, my dash and console dim considerably. If I turn my lights off, the dash and console are normal brightness.

I put in LED tails last week, but didn't notice this effect until tonight. Could it be caused by the bulbs? I am considering taking my car in to Acura.

That is completely normal. The console and dash are supposed to dim with the lights on. This has nothing to do with your LED taillights...

Chicago_tsx's problem sounds like it might be something wrong, but as far as Audioserf's problem, it is normal. It also took me a while to notice the lights dimming with the lights on.

Thanks guys.

The real culprit was I cleaned my interior yesterday, and in the process, must have hit the Interior Brightness knob (little knob in the bottom-right next to the tach). If you fiddle with that you can actually set it to full brightness with the lights on, which I did.

Owner's manual saves the day again...
