Temperature Reading and Passenger Door Lock

My temperature level is reading 75 degrees constantly...It was working fine this morning...We are having unusually hot weather in Seattle, its supposed to be 96 today...I dont know if its the hot weather affecting it or if there is something I can do...I am out of warranty...

My passenger door lock wont go up or down...I have to manually press it down to lock it and raise it to unlock it...All the other doors are fine...Any suggestions?

My thermo said 52 constantly for a while. It fixed itself eventually.

Your passenger door lock actuator is broken and will need to be replaced. It happened to my driver's door last month. Search forums for "actuator" to see some threads on it, many members have had this occur. Mine was repaired under warranty, but you are out of warranty - I have no idea what it will cost.

i don't think the hot weather is affecting your temp gauge...it's been in the upper 90's here with the heat index at 100F+...and mine reads the temp pretty accurate...

The outside temp is really weird. It works like this:

- Engine temp (cold engine) < 139F, will take current temp.
- If > 139F, will show temp last taken when engine shut off.
- Warm engine will only refresh outside temp if car is going over 19mph for atleast 1 minute, but will only increase by 1 temp each minute until displayed temp roughly equals outside.

So I park in a garage at work and it reads only 80s on a hot day (>90F) and stop and go traffic will not refresh temp. So you don't get accurate temp unless condition is met.
