Taking the car into the dealer for first time, what to expect?

Hello everyone,

It's about that time I take the car into the dealer (about 33k mi.). My main reason is the brakes are warped. Thing is I've noticed this problem since about 12-15k mi. (shaky steering wheel when braking). At this point the brakes are making some horrible screeching, and a nasty whine when I'm in reverse and lightly on the brakes. My question is, will the dealer be able to do this under warranty? Or will I get some spiel about how its just wear and tear. I know I should have taken it in earlier, but it's been hell trying to arrange some time off without a car.

What other services will be needed at this point that they might try and sell me on? Are there any other gimmicks I might want to be aware of when taking it in?

Thanks in advance everyone!

at 33k mi. I would be surprised if the dealer did your brakes under warranty. Please tell me you've been doing your own oil changes.

Yes, did my own oil changes regularly. I'm not so much concerned with getting a "free brake job" I understand its a few miles already, but would expect it's not needed for at least another 30k. I'm just wondering if they will replace the warped rotor(s).

I got a 5,000 mile check-up, then the dealer checks up the car at 10K, 25K, 35K, 50K and so on... 33K without a dealer visit, hmmmmmm... you might expect problems with the car, that they may not replace due to your neglegence...

Did you factor in that if you schedule service in advance. they will give you a loaner car.
