surging, off/on throtle response

I'm supprised that I haven't seen any posts on this, but the surging and off/on throtle response (6MT) really suggests that the TSX runs very lean. When holding a steady RPM (say 3000) I can feel the car surging or hunting. Anyone else have this problem? I've never seen this in a car before, only newer (ie clean) motorcycles.

Another factor might be the bottom-hinged gas pedal that gives the car a more "responsive" feel. When I want the gas pedal to be "less" responsive, (like when driving in traffic) I drive with my foot near the bottom of the pedal, since pedal is stiffer feeling there. Also, there might be something to do with the drive-by-wire system on the gas pedal.

Could also be the drive by wire throttle. Honda's typically run rich, not lean.

I know what you mean. When I start from neutral and I hit a bump or something, my foot would move, and the whole car would lurch forward. I just shift to 2nd when that starts happening. I hate that, I'm still not used to the bottom-hinged gas pedal, I guess. But I do appreciate the quick responsiveness of the drive-by-wire system.
