Stupid apartment management!

When I got home from work today I noticed loud drilling noise from parking lot.
So I checked out the parking lot where my precious TSX was sat.
Cus I usually drive my second car which is 98 Infiniti I30.
There were men drilling on concrete right by my TSX!! So I immediately moved TSX out of parking. They seemed like working near by my car at least 3 hrs. I could tell it by dust on the car. I got pissed off and knocked on the door of manager's office. He didn't give a shit about that.
I don't care about the dust on my TSX,but constant vibration might cause any loosen bolts and nuts of car parts.
Am I too paranoid about it or it actually can cause bad effect to my car?
Any comments guys?

I can't imagine that the vibration would even transmit past your tires. Even then it seems it would be nothing compared to what a car endures just driving on roads. I'd be more pissed about the dust, but even then, what're you gonna do? It's a car, not a monument; these sorts of things happen. I guess maybe they could have cordoned off the area they were going to be working in a few days in advance so no cars would be around, but I think in most cases workers who do that kind of work probably don't think it's that big of a deal.

It would have been nice though if they had told you they were going to do work on that parking area.

I am with the first guy. Yes it is ok to baby your car, but after all it is only a car. If the apartment has the means to block off the area where they were doing work and still have enough parking for everyone then that is what they should've done, but if this complex is like every other complex in this country then there isn't enough parking for everyone when all spots are available. I mean, if you are the manager, what can you do? If you take away those spots, people will bitch, if you don't and people park in that area, people will bitch, so the managers took their chances of being able to accomodate everyone with the parking in hopes of no car damage will occur. That is just the nature of the beast.

BTW, if you have a new TSX, why don't you drive it?! You didn't buy it to keep in a parking lot did you? A car is a car and will always be a car. I try to take care of it but I am not the type of person who puts plastic on the seats and rubber floormats on the floor board either. I bought the thing to drive and drive it, I WILL.

Just my opinon.

Hmmm - you could check your local and state bylaws.

If they're doing construction in a residential area, I think they're supposed to give notice, usually 24 hours at least.

Mind you, I'm in Washington and not California, so I don't know if the rules are different.

You had to be high when you wrote this. C'mon the vibrations from the drills??????

What the hell do you think your car would do then over a speed bump or damn, on any road. Fall apart? I know it has a nice Acura badge on the car but is costs less than a Nissan ALtima, hell a Hyandai XG 300. You will be okay.
