Steering Wheel HELP!
My steering wheel has an area that feels super dry. I tried those Lexol leather conditioner but no effect. Should I even bother to try to claim it to the dealer and hope it will be fixed under warranty? (It's at the 8 o' clock position where I usually drive with 10 and 2 o' clock so they can't really say it's wear and tear)
Please help coz whenever I touch that area it gives me the creeps!

If memory serves, part of the steering wheel is real leather (the leather with holes in it), and the other part is actually fake leather (leatherette is I think what they call it...its basically vinyl, if I remember right). Im no expert, but if I am right, and the part of the wheel you describe is vinyl/leatheretee, then you may want to try a vinyl cleaner, etc. (but confirm this before applying...you don't want to apply vinyl cleaner to leather, and vice versa)

As you can see, the issue of leather in the TSX is a contentious one!

Vicman's last response on this thread may be helpful...he uses baby wipes!
In any event, be careful, you don't really want your steering wheel to be too slippery.

well...actually it's the "leather" part that was dry...up to the point I can see little cracks...
So I used Lexol but no effect...
and yes you are right we don't want slippy steering wheel, but I don't want it to be super dry either...

Got the DVD for xmas from my brother in law! He's my faaavorite brother in law...
Its pretty funny. Not as many clips from the show as I would have liked. Did you get Triumph's CD?...its damn funny, too, much funnier than I thought it was going to be, and it also comes with a DVD (although not nearly as good as the newer one). They do have the clip of Triumph going to Quebec and insulting the French Canadians...I almost ruptured my spleen watching that one!!!
I can email you the avatar if you like...I can't remember where on the internet I found it...somewhere out there.

If you all pay attention to the circled area you will see the dry patch I am suffering right now.
Also someone said it looks like a defect on the steering wheel itself rather than my fault. I am taking it to the dealer this weekend and I will see how it goes.
