Squeaking on start up
Just recently my car has been squeaking when I start it. At first I thought it was just because it was cold out, but it was squeaking today in 70 degree weather. It's more of a chirping sound that last about 5 minutes. I replaced the serpentine belt three months ago, and can't figure out what this could be. Not sure if it's related, but my car isn't starting up as quick either. I am around 110k miles if that helps. I have heard suggestions of it being related to the water pump or possible the timing chain? I haven't seen this mentioned on the forum yet so if anyone has advice..

You'll need to try to isolate the sound source. One method is to remove serpentine belt and if noise is stopped, you know it's alternator, PS Pump, AC compressor, or idler bearing.
A long screwdriver can be used (very carefully!) as a stethoscope to pinpoint source of noise. A idler bearing can be spun by hand w/ accessory belt removed. Any growling or roughness would indicate a problem.
good luck
