Squeaking rear right

2004 TSX 55,800 miles. Rear right was squeaking/squealing only when backing up, even when I let go of the brake but still rolling. No such sound going forward. Replaced brake pads - it is still squeaking. What could be the problem?

Thanks.

I am having this same problem, 07 TSX 48k miles.

It is only coming from the right rear wheel. Thinking about taking the brake assembly apart, but if it is not that... What else could it be?

The sound is most definately related to the rotation of the wheel but the sound is only made when reversing and only as long as it takes to back out of the driveway.

I kept searching and found out this is most likely worn INNER brake pad. Apparently the inners wear faster than the outers. Looks like I will be upgrading pads/rotors sooner than I thought.

Inner pads don't necessarily wear faster; it could be that pad itself had an issue.

You don't have to replace rotors with pads. You just have to make sure you bed your new pads well with your existing rotors.
