sound from brakes??

anyone getting the squealing sound from your brakes? i know people say its normal when brakes are new, but i now have 15k miles and it does it more often than desired, i tried power washing the inside in case it was too much brake dust or something but it still makes that awful noise like my car is an old chevy or something....

wondering if this is just what i have to deal with or should i have it checked out?

IMHO if its under warranty then just have the dealer look at it. I don't think the OEM brakes should squeal after 15K miles.

its not just starting to make noise, its been making noise all along... thats why im asking if any of you guys have had the same problem, i saw some posts about brake noise but noone really answered what the problem was so i asked again in hopes there might be an answer, but i guess not...

it sqeaks/squeals almost everyday, sometimes it doesnt do it for a day but definilty at least 4 times a week. brakes are covered under warranty?

With only 15k your dealership should take care of it. I just went over 40k miles with the original brake pads and no noise.

i took it to my dealer, they are willing to do a good will service but they told me the reason why they make noise is because honda uses more metal in their pads so it will most likely make noise soon again

That is why so many people here replace the brakes with aftermarkets. I did just a couple thousand miles ago and I'm much happier now. It wasn't squealing for me, it was shuddering & shimmying that was driving me nuts.
