should I strangle my mechanic?
SO my clutch master cylinder went on my 04 tsx. I had a local mechanic replace it and 4 months later the cmc that he installs fails again.
He replaces it free of charge and after I get the car back I notice third gear is difficult to use. I call him while im on the road and he says that it could be a bad synchro but hed like to have the car back for a rebleed.
I return 2 days later and a different mechanic is now saying i have a faulty clutch AND transmission and refers me to a transmission shop.
I also noticed that if i shift quickly third gear goes in alot easier but still a slight grating in the shifter....I've read that rebleeds, syncromesh, and pedal adjustment have all helped fix the problem however im not sure what to believe at this point.
all advice is welcome

both mechanics work at the same shop...never at the same time...after i mentioned it (and after his speech about clutch and tranny)second mechanic agrees it could also be the synchro. He offered the rebleed the line however frowned on the idea. I thinking about just bleeding the slave myslef and changing trans fluid and see if that helps.... I'm skeptical of this garage in general.
Is your mechanic using OEM CMC? If not, definitely ask for OEM parts.
Does it seem harder to go into gear when the car is cold? Or just 3rd gear? When I changed out my CMC the mechanic didn't adjust the clutch pedal properly. That caused my gear changes to be really hard on cold starts.

I havnt noticed cold vs warm.....I pretty sure it does it regardless....low speed sat less noticeable if at all. I'm going to adjust the pedal and change my slave next weekend. In anticipation of a bad synchro is it better to change the tranny or just fix the synchro?...
Did your mechanic use Honda MTF?
This is another very important factor. When I had my clutch replacement, my mechanic did not use Honda MTF. My gear changes where grinding more than usual. I then asked my mechanic if he used Honda MTF and he said no. I immediately changed my transmission oil myself that day to Honda MTF and my gear changes were smooth again.
So let's first get that out of the way, make sure you're using Honda MTF.
