Security code
Security code
My car is a navi 06, has only 150 miles on it and has never had the battery taken out of it. This morning I started up the car and to my horror, the navi started asking for the security code. I panicked and punched in the wrong code twice before I got the right one.
My question is:
How did the radio on my car reset itself if I've never unplugged out the battery? I park the car in a garage, so there's no way that someone could've messed with it. Do you think I should get it checked with the dealer?

Weak ground, loose ground cable on the battery could do it. There is also a sticker up in the glove box that has your security code on it, not to mention there is a card in your manual with it.
Thanks guys, I did figure out which code to use. I just stuggled in my fright and input the wrong codes. Thanks for telling me that loose groundings and stuff could disconnect the battery temporary.
