Reset???

I am a dumbass and drained my batt the other day. I jumped it and typed in the code to unlock the headunit, but the auto up and down on the driver window isnt working now. The dealer says it needs to be reprogrammed (#$% scam) $100. Does anyone know of a different way of correcting this?

thanks

you can reset it yourself....

(i replaced the battery the other night on my 05 and had to reset the auto-up)

1) turn car on
2) roll drivers window down all the way
3) roll window up and keep holding the button in the up position for 2-3 seconds after the window is all the way up

there you go. auto-up/down works again

Wow thanks, unbelievable that they were going to charger me $100 to do that. Just more reason for me to not trust the dealer.

iM sure the dealer figured it might have been a more serious problem. reason for them to charge the check out fee. its just to cover their techs.
i am almost certain if thats all it took, they wouldnt even bother. a damn service writer would even do it for ya.
but if they would, that is a pretty piss poor dealer.

...but rest assure, not all dealers are this way. saddly some guy will glance this thread over and all he/she'll gather from this is "NOT TO TRUST THE DEALER"
