Replacing Side View Mirror Housing

I need some advice on the best course of action. I have a busted driver's side-side view mirror and mirror housing. I asked the dealer how much a replacement would be and he quoted me nearly $500.

I am wondering if this is an easy fix for a do-it-yourselfer and where the best place to find this part is. I have a premium white 2007 TSX. I know there are mirror controls and the blinker light as part of the piece. Is this something easy to replace or is it a bridge too far? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Well, it looks like the part is a little over $350 if you buy it from Acura. But, it doesn't look like it would be all that hard to change out yourself. The little triangular piece on the inside of the door where the mirror is should just pop off. From there it looks like there's only 3 nuts you'd have to remove and voila! However, I'm not sure where the plugs are for the electrical are. They may very well be behind the door panel, I'm not real sure. There's a lot going on in there, so there's a lot of wiring. Motor, turn signal and heater.

+1, only 3 nuts, remove door panel, and disconnect 1 connector. Probably about 15mins (taking your time).
