replacing car door opener?

My electronic car door opener no longer works and thinking it was the battery I replaced it, but still doesn't work. Anyone have any idea how much it costs to replace this? I bought my 2005 TSX used so only got 1 of them

Is there somewhere other than an Acura dealership I could get a new one for cheap?

Hoping the Acura dealership october appreication days works for a new one.

check ebay "acura tsx remote key". They had 39 available, but some may not work w/ 2005. Mixture of OEM and aftermarket.

good luck

I'll try that out. When I put a new battery in, do I need to reprogram it? Maybe that is why when I put a new battery in it didin't work...

thanks

I don't know for sure, but doubt re-calibration is necessary for a battery change. A new or used key fob will require calibration. Check owner's manual for guidance. Most replacement key fobs come w/ instructions for calibration.

good luck

Should not need a reprogram when you change the battery. Could it be the receiver on the car? I had some bugs with my system at one point...I disconnected the negative on the car battery for a few minutes and when I restarted it all worked. Kinda like when a computer freezes up...just needs a reboot.

Give it a whirl!

well the auto buttons on the inside of the car work. It's just the fob that doesn't work. I might try that disconnecting the negative thing. thanks!
