So the car i have is used, I only have one key for it , and so far all the options to buy a remote control makes me check for the fcc which I dont have or know. So, how do i don in this case? do i have to go and pay the dealer the absurd price for a controller and to program it , or is there a way to know the fcc code and get a cheaper one like this

 

You could access the multiplex control unit in the driver's door and perhaps the code is on that part. See attachment.

I checked ebay and unit is available and doesn't require FCC code (that I could find). Maybe same code for all ?
