Rear Window Rattle?
Rear Window Rattle?
Anyone experienced a rattle coming from what sounds like the rear window or possibly the tops of the rear seats? This is the only rattle I've had in my car, but it is really hard for me to pinpoint since it comes from behind me.
Only seems to happen when I drive on uneven road, even if only mildly uneven. Doesn't happen all the time, but very regularly. Almost a "buzzing" sound rattle.
Seperately, I've noticed that sometimes when people ask about an issue they are having, a forum member will post a service bulletin matching the description. Where do you find these bulletins? Are they freely available from some site?
Anyway, if anyone can help locate or eliminate the rattle, you have my appreciation.

Yes. I have the same problem. I have an 05 and when I drove it home I heard it. I asked my mom if she heard anything and she said no. I had her drive while I sat in the back and I heard nothing. Its like when I'm looking for the noise I don't hear it, but its definately coming from the back window.
Help me too get this noise out of my car.

So I took my car to the dealer and it spent SEVEN days there. After I got the car back, I too notice that damn noise. I think for some reason its the board on top of the spare tire in the trunk. Or maybe it's where the rear speakers are held...
I do hear noise from the sunroof too...

i'm getting some rattles from the front two windows. It is coming from where the window and the door meets, that rubber weather strip part. Some type of grease is needed in there. When it first happened in my car about 6 months ago, the dealer took care of it, but it's back again.
Does anyone know what kind of DIY I can do to fix this problem, some type of grease that I can apply on the weather strip?
Thanks

Do you have things in your trunk? I had a piece of luggage in the trunk and when I took it out it didn't make the noise. It was the cover to the spare tire that was causing the noise. Check to see what you might have in the trunk. Put anything you can over the solid parts of the trunk.
