Rear Tires Slanted inwards at the top

Hey guys, I tried searching the forums for this issue and I know it HAS to be somewhere but Im guessing the search option is broken? because I didn't get any found searches for this...

but anywho, back to the issue, my friend was following me a couple nights ago and noticed my rear tires are slanting inwards at the top. I wish I could post some pictures but I'm at work. I'm 80% sure I need a camber kit. Anyone know where I can get one for a decent price and are there any other issues that could be causing this?

I have had my 18'' Enkei Evo 5's for a while now and never noticed until that night.

thx in advance-

You are correct, that is negative camber - on a side note, you should have been able to find *something* if you searched for camber... but oh well.

I'm sure there are many places to get camber kits, but here's the Ingalls at HeelToe for $150 + shipping (you need one for each side), not including the AZine discount. You could shop around to make sure you're getting a good deal.

If your lowered on any aftermarket suspension then you need a camber kit.. if your suspension is stock you need an alignment. Your suppose to have negative camber in the rear anyway.. So did you lower the car?

You don't always need a camber kit if you're lowered. TOE is what really matters. Search for Mr Heeltoe's article here (and elsewhere including his site) which explains it.

He sells camber kits, but doesn't actively push them because his research is that they aren't required as much as a good alignment to get the toe settings right.

sounds like you're just experiencing some negative camber from the comptech springs

anytime you mess with your suspension you need to get an alignment.
you camber isn't really an issue at all, especially on a conservative drop
like you have with the springs. you do not need a camber kit.

if negative camber bothers you, then you can get one, but you don't need one.
you do need an alignment though. you should be worried about your toe being
off and therefore your tires getting chewed up prematurely.

I've noticed a number of stock TSXes on the road exhibit this camber on the rear wheels--I think it might be normal.

Normal is relative to the model of car. Most/all cars have some degree of negative camber, especially for the rear wheels.

In fact there is a TSB for our TSX that the right rear camber might be out of spec due to a control arm (I believe?) that might be defective on that corner.

That being said, I have about -2.4* and -2.1* on my rear wheels and notice NO "camber wear" on the tires. Why? Because I had the alignment shop set the to to perfect (0.0*) and that's what kills tires -- poor toe settings.

I had a camber of -2.6 on my right rear tire. Looks like there is a service bulletin out there that addresses this issue on 04-05 TSXes. I took it to the dealer and they corrected it.
